Kume - Lyddon

Junko Kume and Paul Alan Lyddon were married on March 7, 2001, at small ceremony at the American Church in Paris, France.  Following the wedding, a reception was held at Les Célébrités, inside the Nikko Hotel.

Attending the ceremony were the bride’s mother and sister, Mitsuko and Akiko Kume, her aunts Masako Tomoyasu and Kayoko Kabashima, her cousin Daisuke Kabashima, and a few close friends and co-workers.  On the groom’s side were his mother, father, and sister, Lorraine, Douglas, and Rachel Lyddon, his grandmother Lorraine Fiala, and his uncle and aunt, Frank and Carol Fiala and their four sons Jeff, Andrew, Ryan, and Michael.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Yoshio Kume of Hamamatsu, Japan.  She graduated from the College of International Tourism in Hamamatsu and is currently employed in the American section at JTB World in Tokyo.

The groom is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Lyddon of High Point, North Carolina.  He graduated with a BA in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.Ed. in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Seigakuin University in Ageo, Japan, about an hour north of Tokyo.

The couple spent their honeymoon traveling the Southwest of France.  They will be residing in Saitama City, Japan.
