Our sweet little baby is finally home!
Andrew was born about 3 weeks early, and suffered from respiratory distress syndrome (underdeveloped lungs), which the hospital refers to as lazy white boy syndrome, since it's most common among white males.
After about a week in Neo Natal Andrew was able to breathe on his own, but he still wasn't eating enough, so he had to stay in the hospital an additional week. But 2 weeks from his birth, he was released, and went home at 5 lbs. 14 oz.
I'm happy to say both Mother and Baby are now doing fine.
